First Call for Papers for ICLP2026 Japan

The 38th International Conference on Lightning Protection:
ICLP2026 will be held in Sapporo, Japan 31st May - 5th June 2026.
This conference is the world’s most prestigious and large-scale international conference on lightning protection, and will be held in Japan for the first time in 20 years, since it was held in Kanazawa in 2006.
Sapporo city, which will host ICLP 2026, has a population of more than 1.9 million and is the fourth most populous city in Japan and the political, economic, and cultural center of Hokkaido area.
The conference venue, "Kaderu 2.7", is located in the center of Sapporo City.
ICLP 2026 will hold plenary, technical and poster sessions on a wide range of topics, including lightning protection and lightning damage prevention measures for buildings, people, equipment, and contents, as well as test methods related to lightning discharge phenomena and lightning protection.
Sapporo is located in northern Japan. Fresh meat, seafood, vegetables, and fruits from all over Hokkaido come together with good-quality local alcoholic beverages. We are confident that all participants will enjoy both the academic and cultural aspects of their visit.
